Student produces video about Fanwood's 185-year history

In his Senior year 2001 at NYSD, Seyha Sean, produced "Fanwood's History: Lost & Found" -- a video documentary about the 185-year history of the New York School for the Deaf, the second deaf school established in the United States and the world's first deaf military school with its own marching band. The video traces the interesting individuals who have been associated with the school since it was first incorporated in 1817 and occupied a few small rooms in New York City Hall to its opening at our current location, in 1938, at 555 Knollwood Road in White Plains, NY.

Note: A student produced video or PowerPoint presentation can be a great project to motivate students and let them show you what they learned in class through research and writing. If you have a student in your class who might like to produce their own program, let's talk about it!
