About the Event

On January 20th, Fanwood will come alive with two incredible events – Fanwood Family Fun Day and the Battle of Liberty. Save the date for what promises to be a memorable day of fun and friendly competition.

The Family Fun Day event is from 11am-3pm in the Currier Hall small gymnasium, but families are also encouraged to join us at the Battle of the Liberty competitions from 10am- 4:30pm. Lastly, there will be a dance from 5pm-9pm for Middle and High school age students.

Parents/ Guardians of Academic Bowl Students and Athletes: NYSD Athletic Program Director, Jeremy Cormier, and the NYSD coaches will contact you with more detailed information about the logistics on that day. 

Workshop Opportunity: Parents/Guardians of 6th - 12th grade African American, Latino American, and Native American (AALANA) students are invited to register for a college transition workshop led by RIT on January 20th at 9am. 1) NYSD students will sell light refreshments in the Currier Hall gymnasium
2) Taste of Puebla NYC - Food Truck
Taste of Puebla NYC will be on campus from 11 AM - 4 PM serving Serving Authentic Mexican and Caribbean Cuisine 

Fanwood Museum & School Store

The Fanwood History & Culture Center will be open for viewing from 12pm-4pm. While you are there you can purchase a Fanwood T-Shirt and other school store items!

Transportation Provided

Need transportation to and from Fanwood's campus?  NYSD will provide pick up and drop off at 2 locations FREE of charge! Transportation is first come first serve, with NYSD students getting priority seating.
