​Education Program
New York School for the Deaf’s SEEDS program provides a high-quality, family-centered early childhood education for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children from birth through three years of age. Our goal is to build a strong foundation in language and cognitive development, employing a whole-child approach using multiple languages and communication styles to ensure children reach their full potential.
​Our Services Include:
SEEDS is NYSD's comprehensive, family-centered program designed for Deaf and Hard of hearing children from birth-three years old.
  • Customized Language Programs: Tailored Listening & Speaking and American Sign Language (ASL) pathways to meet your child’s needs.
  • Family-Centered Support: Parent meetings and teleconferencing sessions to maximize language development at home for both English and ASL.
  • Centering Parent Choice: Our school believes in a non-judgmental, fully supportive approach to parent needs. We think it’s better to help you explore and determine what’s best for your child and family.
  • Engaging Playgroup Sessions for children 2 years old
  • Ongoing Assessment & Team Collaboration: A dedicated team monitors and supports each child’s progress.
