New York School for the Deaf welcomes you to join us for a very special event! On Wednesday, April 17th we will be going to Citi Field for a joint celebration of Fanwood and our school’s special day; Fanwood’s birthday (April 15th). Fanwood will attend the Mets game at Citi Field where we have reserved our very own section. At 12:30pm that day, NYSD will be recognized and a group of our very own students will be signing the National Anthem in ASL! Additionally, a promotional video showcasing our school and student successes will be shown to the entire stadium! Our group seats are in sections 128 and 129. |

Helpful Information
- There is no cost for your child to attend this trip.
- Family members attending can bring their child home after the game (check that box on the permission form)
- Please provide your child with money if they would like to purchase souvenirs, food, drinks, photos or any other item. (Student will be provided a bag lunch from the school cafeteria on this day)
Important: Transportation for Your Child That Day
- Students will arrive at school that day on their regular district bus. At 11am, NYSD will transport your child to Citi Field.
- Family members who want to purchase a ticket and join us will meet us at Citi Field. Our group seats are in sections 128 and 129.
- Family members attending can bring their child home after the Mets game (please indicate that option on permission form )
- IMPORTANT: Family members not attending the Mets game:
- a. Select districts will provide transportation pickup at 4:30pm and will bring your child home. *Not all school districts will provide transportation. (School Districts that have agreed so far: Beacon, Bedford, Brewster, Dover Plains, East Ramapo, Ellenville, Fallsburg, Harrison, Highland Falls, Hyde Park, Mamaroneck, Marlboro, Monroe-Woodbury. Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Newburgh, Port Chester, Port Jervis, Poughkeepsie, Wappingers, Washingtonville, White Plains) *We are still receiving responses from other districts. Please contact us with any questions.
OR - b. If your school district does not provide transportation, Parents/Guardians should plan to pick up your child at NYSD at 4:30 pm. Or pick up at Woodlawn Train Station.
